Party!

One of Jeff's co-workers here in Austin was so incredibly nice to invite us to her home and have a birthday party for Oliver today! Jeff, the kids and I had such a wonderful time. Once again, thank you so much! Of course, I couldn't help but bring my camera along, so here are a few of my faves from this evening:

Four Years

Four years ago today, my world was rocked in a serious way. I couldn't even begin to imagine what was about to begin, but my life changed forever. Four years ago today I became the luckiest person... I became Oliver's Mom.

Happy Birthday my sweet guy! I love you to the stars and back.

Tantrum Free!

First, I want to apologize for the over-saturation of photos of my kids on this blog lately! We are away from Boston for the summer, currently in Texas where we really don't know anyone, so this has been an excuse for me to take tons of photos of my favorite two subjects. In a few weeks we will be heading to Utah (and a trip to B.C) for the final 2 months of summer break, where I have a bunch of sessions scheduled - making for some fun blogging variety:)

Now about today... My daughter has been going through some serious "terrible two's"! I honestly can't remember a day in the recent past where she hasn't had some kind of serious meltdown/tantrum. Fun times. Thanks to my son's favorite show "Sid the Science Kid" we were inspired to make some "charts". We made a chart for "being a good listener" where the kids get to put stickers up every time they do a really a really great job of listening. Let's just say that Sid is a genius! Emma is super into it, and this is the first day I can remember that she hasn't had a single meltdown!(knock on wood) We have been having such a fun time today, that I couldn't help but pull out the camera and capture a few moments. Here are 2 of my faves from today:

Goggles!

There's nothing like a pair of goggles to occupy a 2 and 3 year old...

Wildflowers

What a wonderful Sunday! Jeff and I took the kids for a drive in the Hill Country outside of Austin - such beautiful scenery! We passed a park with a gorgeous field of wildflowers. I couldn't resist posting these:

6 months and counting...

While Hubby Jeff was swimming with the kids today, I was able to snap a few maternity photos of myself. It was quite the adventure not having a "sit in" for lighting, and pushing the cable release button with my toe! I have hit the big 6 month mark, and am feeling quite round in the belly! I know there's still a ways to go, but thought I would share some of my faves. xoxo
